How often should I service my car?

Most cars need a service every 12 months or 10,000 miles, though this can vary depending on your manufacturer’s recommendations and how the car is used. At Station Garage, we follow the manufacturer’s schedule for your make and model, whether your car is still under warranty or you’ve simply chosen to continue with that schedule afterwards.

What’s the difference between an interim and a full service?

Interim service – an oil and filter change with a general inspection, suited to cars covering higher mileage or approaching their next full service

Full service – a more thorough check covering additional components, recommended annually for most cars

Major service – includes everything in a full service plus items like spark plugs and fluids that need replacing less frequently

We’ll always recommend the right level of service based on what your car had last time, rather than defaulting to the most expensive option.

Will servicing with an independent garage affect my warranty?

No. As long as the work follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses appropriate parts, your warranty remains fully protected. We use original equipment parts throughout, and every service is backed by our own 12 month or 12,000 mile guarantee on parts and labour.
